Keeping Track of Dental Health Issues – Is Your Gum Line Really Receding?

Keep Track Of Your Dental Health

When it comes to dental health, the gum line is one of the most important elements. You have to make sure your gum stays healthy, otherwise there are numerous resulting health issues you can expect, gum disease perhaps even being the least of your worries.

If you want to make sure that you know whether or not your gum line is receding, there are a few important things you have to consider. Are you seeing more of your teeth? This usually looks like your teeth are growing, but what’s really happening is that your gum line is starting to pull back.

Another sign is that your gums are becoming very sensitive. To test that, simply slide your tongue on the interior and exterior of your gum line, especially on the part of it that’s closest to your teeth. It’s not uncommon to notice that your teeth feel different in that spot and that your gums are either inflamed or just feeling sensitive to the touch.

Identifying a receding gum line in time can save you from spending time in the Highlands Ranch dentists offices. Not only will your gum line become increasingly more susceptible to disease, but left untreated, this condition can even lead to your teeth rotting and dying out completely.
